Banaras Hindu University will release the odd semester exam results 2024-2025 of all the UG and PG courses soon. Candidates can check the BHU semester result by visiting the official website that is https://bhu.ucanapply.com/. BHU University follows a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and the academic year is divided into odd (I, III, V, VII, IX) and even semesters (II, IV, VI, VIII, X). Regular/ex-UG and PG students can fill out the even and odd semester exam forms usually in the month of April and October, respectively. The university, through six colleges and various departments, offers UG, PG, PhD, and various courses to students across the Science, Arts, Commerce, and various other streams. BHU Semester Result 2025: How to Check?

Banaras Hindu University releases the UG and PG semester exam results on its official website. Mentioned below are the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) guidelines for new and existing students on how to check the BHU B.Ed result and various other course semester exam results. Follow the simple steps to check the BHU result:

Step 1: Visit the official result website of Banaras Hindu University that is https://bhu.ucanapply.com/.

Q:   Does BHU accept CUET for BSc (Hons) admission?
A:

Yes, to apply for BHU BSc (Hons) course, candidates need to register online for CUET-UG. From 2022, the BHU-UET exam is replaced with this exam. Based on the merit of candidates' performance in the entrance exam, candidates are then required to register separately for the counselling round. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted CUET-UG entrance test from May 21 to Jun 23 and the result was declared on Jul 15.

Q:   Does BHU accept CUET for BCom (Hons) admission?
A:

Yes, candidates seeking admission to BCom (Hons) courses need to appear for the CUET-UG entrance test. Based on the entrance test scores, BHU will conduct a counselling round. BHU is currently accepting applications for BHU BCom (Hons) admission 2023, interested candidates must visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) to apply for the CUET-UG entrance exam.

Q:   How many seats are there in BTech at BHU?
A:

The total seat count for BHU BTech course is 60. There are 1,563 seats at IIT BHU as well for BTech students.  Candidates wanting to take admission must visit the CUET-UG website to apply for the entrance exam. It must be noted that the mentioned seat details are as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is subject to changes and hence, is indicative. 

Step 3: Enter the details as required, such as email ID, roll number, and others. 

Step 4: Click on submit, and then download the scorecard as and when it appears on the screen.

BHU Semester Exam Schedule 2025

Usually for the odd semesters, the exam registration forms are out in the month of October and must be filled by the first week of November. BHU releases the exam schedule one month or half prior to the actual exam date. Any notification regarding the change in the exam schedule will be communicated to the students via the BHU result official website.

The BHU semester exam result pattern is like any other university or college. After downloading the semester exam result from the official website, candidates must go through all the details mentioned there in the scorecard. A:

BHU admission 2025 to the undergraduate courses is based on CUET UG scores. BHU merit list 2025 for CUET UG has been released. As per the BHU cutoff 2025, the minimum CUET UG cutoff score was 94 for B.Ed. in Special Education (Visual Impaired - Social Science and Humanities), followed by 191 for B.Ed. in Mathematics. Therefore, according to the BHU Round 4 Seat Allotment result, the minimum cutoff score stood at 94 for the General AI quota. Please note that the minimum required cutoff score for admission varies for different rounds and categories. 

Talking about the BHU maximum cutoff score for 2025, B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology became the most competitive course with a cutoff score of 628.46 for the students belonging to the General AI quota.

BHU Supplementary Examinations Result

Supplementary/special open book examination is arranged by BHU University for students who want to improve their scores obtained in semester exams. In this examination, students can take the exams remotely with no restriction on consulting any books or any other resource materials for writing answers. Those students who have failed their exams can also apply for the Supplementary exam.

The minute one gets to know that he/she has passed the semester exam, new career opportunities must be looked at along with completing the current education. The following opportunities are aligned so that students can explore them:

  • The students can apply for government jobs like SSC, Railways, Banking, etc. So after getting the semester exam results, candidates can either study for the SSC CGL and other government exams for securing government jobs or can also apply for government job positions like RRB Train Clerk Commercial Clerk, Ticket Collector, Account Clerk/Typist Loco Pilot, RPF Constable, Junior Clerk/Typist, and various other positions.

BHU Semester Exam Past Year Results

BHU is ranked 4 and 5 in the ‘Agriculture and Allied Sectors’ and ‘Universities’ categories by the NIRF Rankings 2024 and accepts entrance exams like CUET-PG,  BHU PETIIT JAM, ICAR AIEEA, and others for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. After admissions, the academic session usually commences in August. After that, semester exams take place, post which the semester exam results are announced. If any past-year student currently wants a printout of his/her result, he/she can do so by downloading the same from the official website.
